The BPO industry is one of the biggest employers in the Philippines, with over 1.5 million workers. But moving from agent to team leader can feel like a mystery — what exactly do hiring managers look for? This 20-day course breaks down the entire journey, from honest self-assessment to mastering the day-to-day responsibilities of a TL on the floor.
What You Will Learn
You will start by understanding what team leaders actually do and where the role fits in the Philippine BPO ecosystem. Then you will do an honest gap analysis of your own skills and learn the mindset shift required to think like a leader before you have the title. From there, you will dive deep into the metrics that run the floor — AHT, CSAT, FCR — and learn how to read your team dashboard to spot problems before they escalate.
The course then moves into people management: giving feedback that actually changes behavior, running effective weekly one-on-ones, managing underperformers through coaching and PIPs, and resolving conflict on the BPO floor. You will also cover motivation, engagement, and attrition — the challenges that keep every TL up at night.
Operations and Workforce Management
Beyond people skills, you will learn the operational side of team leadership: night shift leadership, workforce management basics, WFM tools and technology, and how to report results to upper management. Every lesson is built around real scenarios you will face on the floor — from coaching an agent who is not hitting metrics, to presenting your team's weekly performance to operations managers. By the end of this course, you will have the skills and confidence to step into a TL role.
